I can't believe it's already December!! We had a great Thanksgiving, spending it up at Brady's parents house. We had a wonderful dinner and then just hung out watching t.v. and looking at all the ads! I didn't get up early on Black Friday, just went out around noon and still got some good deals on clothes. Almost done shopping for Kaden.. yay!!
I thought I should post some pictures, since it's been a while...

We went up to The Festival of Trees this morning with Amanda & Hanna. The trees are so fun to look at, they're all so pretty!

Yesterday was my Dad's birthday! He loves Mickey Mouse (we know who Kaden gets that from..), so my mom wanted to throw a Disney themed party for him. It was a little bit of a surprise because my sisters (from Twin, Boise & Utah) all came for the evening. My dad didn't have a clue they were coming! My mom had this super cute cake made..

The grandkids helping blow out the candles..
The grandkids that were there... this was such a fun party!! Happy Birthday Dad!!

I have been a little hesitant to post this, because it's pretty early still.. but.. Kaden is proudly announcing he's going to be a....

Yes, that's right!! Big brother Kaden!! I am only about 9 weeks along, due around July 10, 2010. But, we're super excited! I have been pretty sick lately, but when I went to the doctor yesterday, they told me a good remedy for my sickness.. and I have actually felt pretty good today! Hopefully it will keep working. I was not sick once when I was pregnant with Kaden! So I'm not liking this so much. Many people I have talked to said that they were sicker with their girls than boys.. so maybe it's a little sister for Kaden.. We're kinda hoping for another boy, so Kaden could have a good play mate and it would be the same time of year Kaden was born, so I have lots of clothes I could use! But, we really don't care too much either way.

Anyway- that's what's going on with us .. now on to Christmas!! YAY!!

What's Up..

I thought I should give a little update on what we've been doing the past couple weeks... Well, we moved AGAIN! We bought a house a couple months ago, and Brady's dad uses the upstairs as his office, and we're in the basement. It has taken some getting used to (only by me..), but it's nice. Brady worked hard painting and making it look good. Kaden absolutely loves his room. He is such a trooper with moving.. he adjusts really well. We have moved about 4 times this year. I am so SICK of it!! I don't know how long we will stay in this apartment, but hopefully a little while.

Brady is staying busy with work and deciding if he wants to go back to school in January..
I am home with Kaden everyday, except one day a week I go and get groceries for the assisted living center that my father in law owns. It takes about 3 hours and works out pretty good.
Kaden is just growing up so much!! He loves playing football, soccer, (any sport actually) watching movies, reading books and playing with "swords". He can basically turn anything he is holding into a sword or a gun.. yikes! I guess that's just what little boys do! He is a little cuddler when I lay with him to get him to sleep and I love that. He says the funniest things and does funny things for people to laugh at him. The other night he was being so silly at G&G Rasmussen's, and slipped by the fireplace and got a fat lip! It was so sad, his lip was so big he had a hard time talking or eating anything the rest of the night. It's healing up now, but he still notices his "owie" and says "My owie getting better!" . Love him!!

My exciting news.......... I get to go to Boise tomorrow to watch NEW MOON at MIDNIGHT with my sister and my niece!! I am so excited!! My sister bought me a ticket for my birthday, and as long as we dont wake up to a snow storm, then we're heading that way for a fun night!! I can't wait (hopefully I can stay awake..)!!

HaLLoWeEn FuN!

Well we had a fun Halloween~ Kaden was an adorable giraffe. It went perfectly with the color of his hair. And he loved his costume. It was a little small, it was for 2-4 yr. olds, but this kid is just growing and it didn't fit him very well. But, he still looked so cute! We went to my parents ward trunk or treat, and carnival. Kaden had a great time going around to all the cars and then playing some fun games. Obviously he enjoyed the candy the best. He would open a sucker, suck on it for a few minutes, then open another one and do the same thing. I dont really enjoy Halloween, but it's so much more fun when you have a little boy who really enjoys it.

His little bum looked so cute! It was full of padding and just so funny. That was my favorite part of his costume!

Brady made Kaden a little mask the other night and he thinks he is Super-man when he wears it! I think little boys are so much fun. I told Brady that I wouldn't mind only having boys! Not that I wouldn't love a little girl someday, but boys are just fun-I love watching Kaden play football and wrestle with his uncles!! He is such a fun boy. Anyway--
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!!

That time of year...

Yay for Fall!! This is such a fun time of year.. and it wouldn't feel like Fall without carving some pumpkins. I attempt to do something cool and it usually turns out pretty crappy.. but with Brady's help it always looks good! So we grabbed some pumpkins and had a fun night carving them. Kaden enjoyed taking the carving knives and poking them in the pumpkin. He doesn't like to get his hands dirty, so touching the stuff inside the pumpkin kinda grossed him out. So he didn't really want to help clean it out. He also took a bite of the nasty stuff from inside the pumpkin and didn't really enjoy it too much..
Kaden was saying "Pumpkin!" - that was the only way
we could get him to look at the camera.

The finished products! Brady's is the skeleton and mine is the monster. Technically they both should be Brady's since he did most of the work on mine!
Happy Fall!

Island Park

We got a chance to head up to Island Park on Saturday-Monday. We lOvE going up there and spending time with my family every year. This year Kim & Matt's family came along too. We had fun playing in the hot tub, playing Mastermind (which I am actually pretty good at, even though it's quite a thinking game!), going for a few walks trying to see some animals. We never did see any animals, Kaden was hoping to see some zebras, elephants, and kangaroos. Poor kid thought we were in the jungle or something! We had fun and wish we could've stayed longer! Thanks Mom and Dad!!

Scentsy & Soup

So a girl in my ward does Scentsy and has wanted me to have a party- but instead of doing a party, she brought over a basket that has tons of scents in it and all the info in it. So I have the basket for a week and can take it to anyone or they can come to my house if they want anything! So let me know if anyone is interested in any Scentsy things.. the new smell for this month is Honey Pear Cider~ it smells sooo good!! There's so many good Fall scents too. There's also car scents that me & Brady love! So just let me know and I can take the basket to you or you can run by my house! Thanks!!

AnYwAyS....
Last night I made Ham & Potato Soup~ very yummy! It's Brady's (and mine) favorite soup!! Here's the recipe.. from allrecipes.com:

3 1/2 cups peeled and diced potatoes
1/3 cup diced celery
1/3 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup diced cooked ham
3 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 teaspoon ground white or black pepper, or to taste
5 tablespoons butter
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups milk

1. Combine the potatoes, celery, onion, ham and water in a stockpot. Bring to a boil, then cook over medium heat until potatoes are tender, about 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in the chicken bouillon, salt and pepper.
2. In a separate saucepan, melt butter over medium-low heat. Whisk in flour with a fork, and cook, stirring constantly until thick, about 1 minute. Slowly stir in milk as not to allow lumps to form until all of the milk has been added. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until thick, 4 to 5 minutes.
3. Stir the milk mixture into the stockpot, and cook soup until heated through. Serve immediately.

I bought some already cut up ham from Wal-Mart for like $2. It was nice to have it already chopped up and ready to throw in the pan.

Enjoy!!

Chili.. yummy!

Yesterday felt like winter.. so when I got up, Chili sounded so good. I put the Chili in my crock pot and it made my house smell so good- I wanted to eat it for lunch! So, here's my Chili recipe- it's nothing super special, but we enjoy it.. I use:

(This is a picture of the chili.. I took it myself!)

1 lb. Hamburger

1 can kidney beans, with liquid

1 can diced tomatoes

1 can tomato sauce

2 C. Water (more or less depending on how you like it..)

Minced Garlic (these next few, I just guess on the amounts)

Onion (I use minced)

Chili Powder

Salt & Pepper

Put in crock pot on low for 6-8 hours.

I also wanted some kind of biscuit to go with the chili, but I didn't have any Bisquick to make garlic cheddar biscuits. I found a recipe on-line, but they were really weird! So I would suggest sticking with the Bisquick recipe for those biscuits. They're much better!

By the way- where the heck did Fall go?? I can't believe how cold it is already! I was ready for a break from the heat.. but this is not what I was ready for! Ugh.. I hope it warms up a little bit and can feel more like Fall for a little while, instead of Winter already!

We went over to Twin Falls on Sunday to celebrate my mom's birthday and Annie's birthday. I didn't take any pictures while we were there... but we had so much fun! Kaden loves playing with his cousins~ these pictures are from last summer. Kaden has changed so much!

Kaden loves Grandma Brenda!

My mom is such a great example-a great mother,

grandmother, and in serving others. We love you Mom!

Kaden & Annie~(I forgot that he had fallen

last year and scraped his nose pretty bad..

so no it's not a huge booger hanging out of

his nose!)
